Becoming a Legacy Photography Client is Different.
Legacy Photography | Conneticut, New York, Vermont | International & National Travel Available

The magic isn’t only on your wedding day. It’s in the thousands of ordinary moments that took a lifetime to become extraordinary.
Life is complex, and wild, and wonderful, and with iPhones in our pockets, it’s easy to think that we are documenting our everyday lives each time we point our cameras at a moment in our day. While the photos in your camera roll tell a story, that story doesn’t have you in it. You were holding the camera, after all.
Even when we have the best intentions for printing series of photos we took at our family reunion, it gets chronically shifted to the back of the list, because we’re busy living life. Becoming a Legacy Photography client takes that responsibility out of your hands – and ensures that your family’s visual legacy is preserved, physically, for generations to come.
I accept only a limited number of Legacy Family clients each year, because we truly get to know eachother, and that takes time. To qualify, families must complete at least two commissions, which may include a Newborn First Year Collection, Bar or Bat Mitzvah, Wedding, Multigenerational Family Portrait, Day in the Life session, or Legacy Documentation.
Together we’ll document the places that shaped your life, the objects that carry your family’s history, and the relationships that define it by creating photographs and accompanying stories that become part of your family’s visual inheritance.
Your legacy is only as enduring as the pictures you leave behind. Words can describe a moment, but photographs allow future generations to experience it.
Albums and prints are a cornerstone of the Legacy Photography experience, because it’s not just about documenting your family’s moments. It’s about ensuring that those moments can be shared with generations of your family who can’t be here to experience them with you.
The intentionally curated books included in Legacy Photography services provide your family with a timeless, unique heirloom, that will endure long after you’re gone. Not just to reminisce about a specific wedding, reunion, or funeral – but to connect the future, to the now. To show those who come next who you are, and how you came to be that person.
Interwoven storytelling makes the connection deeper, preserving your life as art, for generations to come.

Legacy photography isn’t about creating perfect pictures.
It’s about preserving what it felt like to love, to belong, to celebrate, to endure loss, and to remember the people and experiences that shaped a life.
The stories we preserve together come to function as a modern visual family-tree, that your children’s-children, and their children’s-children, can immerse themselves in.

ANGELA STRASSHEIM PHOTOGRAPHY | THE WORK
Most session types can contribute to a Legacy Photography package.
To qualify as a Legacy Client with Angela Strassheim Photography, all you have to do is complete at least two commissions, which may include a Newborn First Year Collection, Bar or Bat Mitzvah, Wedding, Multigenerational Family Portrait, Day in the Life session, or any type of Family Story Documentation Session. My hope is that after those two – we’ll continue working together to ensure you remember all of the details of your wild, fiercely beautiful life.

Whether you’re celebrating your wedding day, an anniversary, a birthday, buying a new home, or reaching a milestone, those moments deserve to be documented.

Portraiture can be a part of your Legacy Client experience, whether we’re working together in the studio to document your youngest’s latest visit from the tooth-fairy, or spending the afternoon splashing in your pool.

From images your family home before you downsize, to the details of your upcoming family reunion, Family & Story Documentation sessions can be a part of your Legacy Client experience too.
